Miss Sunday’s Third: a Cornfield Photo Shoot

While I put the finishing touches on setting up Rebekah’s 3rd birthday party, Amy gave us a very special birthday present…

Sneaking Rebekah away to my Daddy’s beautiful cornfield, she took a few birthday portraits of my baby girl. I’ve said it before, but I’ll say it again: Amy need never buy me ANYTHING, for the time and care she pours into capturing memories for our family is a priceless gift that I will always cherish.

Thank you, Amy!!

3 years old is a precious age, is it not? Rebekah is learning to dress herself and write her letters and rinse her hair, but she is still encapsulated in a magical and innocent world. To her, anything is possible, and everything is exciting. I’m so glad that I will be able to look back at these photographs and remember how she was at this very special time in her life…

Oh, and while I’m thinking of it, here she was a little over a year ago in the same pasture…

Excuse me while I go bawl my eyes out.

Birthdays might be my favorite…

but they also really hurt my feelings.

  1. 2 yrs. old to 3 yrs. old is a huge jump, isn’t it…letting go of the last remnants of “baby” at 2 and then being a completely kid by 3! Now I know what’s in store for me next April 😦
