The Truth of the Matter

I’ll admit it…things are a tiny bit crazy over here. I have so much to do. And all of the things I need to do will need to be done again roughly 30 minutes after I complete them. Another load of dishes. Another pile of laundry. More stomachs to feed. More diapers to change. Beds to make. Hair to curl. Baths to administer. Souls to nurture. Books to read aloud. Crumbs to sweep up. Pictures to upload and edit. Just to name a few.

Unfortunately, I can’t find anything about the Proverbs 31 woman being a blogger, even in The Message.

That said, I would be remiss, wouldn’t I, if I didn’t take the time to reminisce about our most glorious 4th of July party? And what about Rebekah’s 2nd birthday memories? And then there is my newest bundle of beauty to discuss, the very one who is in my arms, causing me to type with one hand…

Maybe if the Proverbs 31 woman hadn’t had that distaff to hold, she would have typed a blog with her free hand.

And since I don’t have a distaff or even know what one is…

Rebekah’s 2nd birthday, comin’ up next!

  1. I’m also looking forward to hearing Phase 2 and 3 of Surviving the Hospital. I mean, surely you have plenty of time… ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. Ok, I am going to give you some really needed help here — regarding the justification of blogging from Proverbs 31 ๐Ÿ˜‰
    — :18 “her lamp does not go out at night” Why not? What is she doing, but blogging?
    — :20 “she extends her hand to the poor” Surely we are not so mundane as to the limit the interpretation to the literal gift of a piece of bread or the sharing of a coin? What about the poor in spirit, whom you might feed with a nourishing word? Or the one in need of a smile, for whom a funny story is worth more than any coin?
    — :26 “She opens her mouth in wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue.” This one nails it down for sure. This woman was all about sharing wise words. As industrious as she was in every area of her existence, you can be sure that had blogging been available in Israel, she would have been the first to sign up!

Hope that helps! (LOVED the “Message” crack too, btw! Pretty good joke for one hand! ๐Ÿ˜‰
